About North Road Gym

North Road Gym is a young Amateur Boxing Club.

Established in September 2008 on the site of the old Booker ABC in Stanley, County Durham in the North East of England. Affiliated with the Amateur Boxing Association of England since its conception.

Our main objective is to promote amateur boxing within the surrounding community. Ran completely by volunteers, all our coaches follow the ethos that they are not just tutoring boxing, they are teaching respect. Producing quality, competitive amateur boxing champions is where our primary focus lies. A good number of our team are well on their way. This said, our doors are open to those who just want to keep fit and promote a healthy lifestyle.

But be warned, it ain' t easy - Its a way of life!
