North road amatuer boxing club are planning a fantastic trip for all our active boxers to box in a organised tournament against "The Rajun Cajuns Boxing Club" in Lafayette, Louisianna, USA.

Fund Raisers Needed

We hope to fully fund this trip for our young boxers. Obviously this will come at quite an expense. Whilst the club has many plans to raise cash for this amazing experience and chance, any help we can get along the way would be greatly appreciated. The date for the trip has beeen confirmed as the 18 - 25th May. We will be making history as the first boxing team outsoide the USA to enter the prestigous Governers Games. Fund raising is well under way -

North Road Gym was very proud to recently open its doors to Dmitiry Salita and his pro team before his welterweight world title bout against Amir Khan. Team Salita made camp at North Road Gym in the week running up to the title bid on December 5th 2009 at Newcastle Arena.
Boxers from North Road Gym were very priviliged to watch Dimitry train and spar in our own backyard. Boxers were also invited to the press conference at ST James Park and the weigh-in at the Baltic.
Spending a whole week rubbing shoulders with well known professional boxers, coaches, managers and promoters was a great experience never to be forgotten.
